The Millionaire Mindset

Much has been said about the Millionaire Mindset. One thing that cannot be stressed enough about is this: the millionaire mindset has nothing whatsoever to do with whatever is your actual personal wealth or your bank balance.

It is a way of thinking.

Do you think a millionaire always carries a million dollars around in their pocket? No of course, and they may indeed have no cash at all on them at any given moment. But they know that whenever they need (or want) to have something, they can get it. This is the millionaire mindset.

Well, the good news is that you too can have this mindset, and all the objects that go with it. And without running into debt! And it is achieved by adopting a certain way of thinking. The Law of Attraction will do the rest.

Revolutionary Road and the Law of Attraction

In the Academy Award-nominated Revolutionary Road, Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio star as a young couple with two small children living in mid-1950s American suburbia. They question the conventional life they've chosen. The conflict eventually settles upon April, played by Ms. Winslet, who feels hopelessly mired in her stultifying existence and desperately wishes to escape. In a powerful performance (she was also nominated for an Oscar individually), her character meets a tragic ending when the idea of accepting her life as it is becomes overwhelmingly terrifying.

Examining these fictional characters through the lens of the Law of Attraction, I think that many women have felt "similarly trapped" in a dead-end life that is certainly unfulfilling. As women greeting the universe in 2009 and as a coach, I can attest that many women I've encountered are beset by issues strikingly similar. "I'm in a rut," or "My life is full of sameness and I'm sick of it" or "Being a homemaker is just not me" are refrains I've heard often. What they're seeking is change, with a capital 'C' but many are afraid to tune in to their own intuition, or might even choose to ignore their intuition completely, living in a state of denial about the life they've chosen, perhaps years or even decades earlier, while claiming without much conviction that it's not "that bad." Ignoring their intuition at their own peril, these women are afraid to change anything about their intolerable lives, reluctantly accepting that they should be less than who they are. Nobody should be forced into such a compromise.

It's no secret that the Law of Attraction will give you what you most focus upon and dwell upon, which isn't necessarily what you most want. Many women continually reify the same thoughts that lead to stale emotions and humdrum vibes, over and over again, like a broken record, playing the same hopeless song. Sometimes they don't do it knowingly, they think they're wishing for something different, something new and exciting, but it's a little like that Google thing on the Internet. By that I mean the Google search. Think about it. You put in "No more trees" as your search topic, and what do you keep getting? That's right - trees and more trees! Oak trees and maple trees and sycamores and birches and peach and apple, an entire forest of unsolicited trees appear before you as "search results" for page after page. The Law of Attraction is exactly like that. You put out feelings to the universe and the Law of Attraction registers just the "key words" like same and rut and boring and routine and that's exactly what you get.

It doesn't have to be that way. If you can "feel" positive you start attracting positive, and changing your thoughts and feelings changes the vibration (energy) you're sending out until the Law of Attraction matches what it is you're feeling. This is the key to escaping your own Revolutionary Road. Just remember this: You ignore your intuition at your own peril.
